This is one of those things I’ve been doing forever that makes me wonder why anyone is still chopping garlic every night. This hack allows you to have fresh chopped garlic ready to go for weeks, simply by breaking off a frozen square.
1. Take a big bag of organic garlic that’s already peeled.
2. Throw the whole thing into your food processor and pulse it until it’s chopped. Do not add any oil or anything else, just garlic.
3. Transfer the chopped garlic into a freezer bag.
4. Flatten the garlic out nice and thin within the bag.
5. Use a chopstick to press lines into the bag, creating little squares that are roughly a tablespoon each.
6. Lay the entire bag flat in the freezer.
7. Once frozen, you can easily break off a square (or more) and throw it straight into whatever you’re cooking.
